Peening Technologies specializes in shot peening components made of titanium, aluminum and steel. We are an industry leader in the use of CNC robotic and computer controlled shot peening equipment. We are the first Nadcap accredited shot peening facility.

Founded in 1966, Peening Technologies has grown from a single-location vapor blasting job shop to a sophisticated pair of companies dedicated to providing a full range of shot peening services.

Equipment

Our machinery is sophisticated and heavily automated. It ranges from CNC multi-axis robotic machines for specialty work, such as turbine hubs, to indexing machines for volume work, such as blades and vanes. Many of our machines operate to computer-controlled specifications AMS-2432, P11TF8 and PWA-36930.

We specialize in shot peening components made of titanium, aluminum and steel.

Vapor Blasting

Vapor blasting is a non-aggressive surface prep technique that has been specifically developed for applications requiring finer finishes. Combining a thin film of water with fine blasting media, this technique can remove dirt, contaminants, rust, corrosion, and old paint from a wide range of surfaces.

Abrasive Grit Blasting​

We offer abrasive blasting services for in-house and on-site.

Plastic Bead Blasting

Fine plastic particles propelled by compressed air for blast cleaning. Mostly used to remove paint on metal surfaces without damaging the underlining material.

Media Finishing

Media Finishing or Vibratory finishing is a type of mass finishing manufacturing process used to deburr, radius, descale, burnish, clean, and brighten a large number of relatively small workpieces.

Nondestructive Testing

We offer NDT testing methods that comply with a wide range of industry standards, military specifications, and unique customer specifications.
